About the job:
CICIOSO Boutique Hotel is a 15 rooms accommodation unit in the historical city centre of Évora. The hotel is a beautifully refurbished old manor, perfect for guests that seek quality, comfort and connivence location, in a casual and cosy atmosphere. The Front Desk Manager will have the following responsibilities:
Handles the front desk. Responsible for greeting & welcoming guests. Assigning rooms and providing keys/codes. Assisting with or organizing assistance with luggage if necessary.
Managing check-ins and check-outs, guest accounts, collecting payments.
Taking/handling guest requests throughout their stay. Resolving conflicts for guests and delegating guest service tasks to hotel staff.
Offer and manage the concierge services including organizing transport services for guests, informing them of entertainment offerings or areas of interest nearby (restaurant recommendations, local attractions, directions to local destinations, quest request handling).
Support the hotel manager in her day-to-day operations and perform role of hotel manager in his/her absence or as required. Such duties include administrative duties, handling correspondence and bookings, delegating tasks and supervising staff. Assistance with assigning work schedules and training staff on performing routine property inspections.
Ability to work shift work which may include Public Holidays, evenings and /weekends.
We look for candidates with the following qualifications / profile:
Bachelor’s degree in business/marketing or in Hospitality is preferred.
Hotel Front Desk experience (2 to 5 years).
Excellent communication skills (Portuguese and English are essential) and people skills.
Organizational ability.
Flexible and adaptable.
Hardworking and well presented.
